Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (AI) exists in every aspect of life which benefits global businesses as it saves time, costs, and changes the conventional ways of doing things. According to Dr. Tran Nam Quoc, the implementation of AI in Industry 4.0 is a strategy on which businesses should focus to create their competitiveness on the market. As an educational institution, the Faculty of Economics & Business, particularly the Human Resources Management Department, aims to help students recognize and comprehend the real-life industry to equip themselves with adaptability and essential competencies. Dr. Tran Nam Quoc expressed his gratitude to Mr. Pham Manh Khoi for sparing his valuable time to come and share his experiences with HSU students.

Theoretically speaking, AI can take on roles of virtual assistants, chatbot applications, big data analysis, etc. to support HR management in carrying out tasks like screening, selecting candidates; staff training, developing, evaluating and consulting. However, it is important for businesses, on implementing AI, to take factors like business strategy, AI’s real value to the business, ways to manage change for the entire organization… into account. Businesses should especially pay attention to methods to fully adopt AI to the business model without changing its identity whilst supporting the HR management department instead of replacing its role.
Throughout the event, AI issues were constantly raised for students to debate on which would then be concluded thanks to the knowledge and experience of the guest speaker. In the seminar, Mr. Pham Manh Khoi also had a wholehearted sharing about the human resources field with information on handling interview questions or becoming a successful HR manager. Finally, he brought the event to a close with a reminder of the core value that those wanting to pursue the human resources management should know, “Heart - Wisdom - Reliability.”
