On December 21, around 150 International Business students of Hoa Sen University (HSU) were taken on a field trip to Ajinomoto Viet Nam factory in the Long Thanh Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province to learn about the Ajinomoto production process.

The trip is part of the annual experiential learning activities carried out by the International Business department, HSU Faculty of Economics & Business. Through which, the students were able to find out more about the production process of Ajinomoto products like seasoning powder, seasoning mix, powdered drink mix, Mayonnaise, etc.
They also got to visit the Aji-ngon seasoning mix manufacturing workplace, the seasoning powder production workshop, the bone broth extraction workshop, the wastewater treatment system area with a capacity of 3.400 m3/day, and the Southern Viet Nam distribution center. With a width of 1.3ha and up to 13.000 tons of storage capacity, the distribution center stored all products from Ajinomoto Bien Hoa factory and Ajinomoto Long Thanh factory, which would later be distributed to other provinces like Hai Duong, Da Nang, Viet Nam’s Southeast region, etc.

One of the most intriguing activities for the students was the cooking experience with the Ajinomoto chef, in which students became the chef, received instructions on how to make a pancake and enjoyed their own products afterwards.

Through the activity, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Thi Ngoc Oanh – Vice Dean of HSU Faculty of Economics & Business sent her regards to the Board of Directors of Ajinomoto Viet Nam for their cooperation in conducting experiential learning activities for HSU students. She also hoped that, in the time to come, the company would support the university by providing HSU students with internship as well as job opportunities.
